CKR Solutions LLC DBA Your Family Legacy is a technology-enabled platform-access, education, and administrative-support business. CKR is not a law firm, and CKR team members do not act as attorneys or provide legal representation through this service. The third-party Platform uses an automated, self-guided process. Customers make their own selections and enter their own information.
What CKR does
- Provides purchased access to the self-guided Platform.
- Sends account invitations, login information, transaction confirmations, and document-status notifications.
- Provides broad educational materials that are not tailored to an individual's circumstances.
- Provides platform and technical support for access, navigation, error messages, and delivery issues.
- Escalates technical issues to the Platform provider when appropriate.
What CKR does not do
- Decide whether a will-based plan, trust-based plan, or any other document is best for a customer.
- Select, recommend, explain how to answer, enter, revise, or approve substantive questionnaire responses.
- Prepare personalized provisions outside the Platform's automated process.
- Interpret laws, documents, rights, duties, consequences, tax effects, benefits effects, or property-transfer requirements for a customer's facts.
- Review Generated Documents for accuracy, completeness, legal sufficiency, enforceability, or suitability.
- Provide tax, financial, investment, insurance, Medicaid, public-benefits, real-estate-title, or other individualized professional advice.
- Represent customers, communicate with courts or government offices for them, track personal deadlines, or promise any outcome.
No scrivener or questionnaire-completion service
CKR does not offer a scrivener, typing, data-entry, questionnaire-completion, form-selection, or document-drafting service for customers. CKR staff will not enter or change substantive information on a customer's behalf, even when directed by the customer. Customers must enter and confirm their own information through the Platform. A customer who needs an accessibility accommodation may contact technical support to discuss available accessible platform methods; CKR will not choose or change the substance of the customer's answers.
When independent review is appropriate
If you are unsure what to choose, how a provision affects you, whether a Generated Document accomplishes your goals, how to sign or fund it, or whether your situation is too complex for a self-guided platform, stop and consult a qualified attorney or other licensed professional. Do not rely on CKR support communications as a substitute for individualized professional advice.
No privileged relationship: Communications with CKR are ordinary business and support communications and are not protected by attorney-client privilege.
